Mastering a skill is all about getting quality repetitions. This is especially true for volleyball skills like passing, hitting, setting, etc. That is why when I started my beach volleyball playing journey several years ago, I began using wall volleyball drills and solo drills I could do on my own! Previously, I had played Division 1 College Basketball and Professionally in Europe. Coming from basketball, there were so many different drills I could do on my own to work on different skills. When I switched to beach volleyball, I wanted to find a way that I could get the time and reps I needed to become a better volleyball player, which is where wall volleyball drills comes in! With all of the different wall volleyball drills I was able to do, I started developing my passing touch, a smoother hitting motion, and so much more. I currently play Open-Level Beach Volleyball in St. Petersburg, Florida and have won a number of Open-Level tournaments, as well as have played several AVP qualifiers (with plans to play more in the future!). I still am getting better everyday and every week as I go, and a big part of my progress is wall volleyball drills and solo drills. Yes, I absolutely train with partners and play regularly during the week as well, but when I want to lock in on the right form, learn a new skill, develop better touch, etc., I head to the wall! Over the years of using wall volleyball drills, I have began to perfect the different drills that I use, as well as the form when executing different skills (which will allow me to give you expert feedback in the app on your form and technique!).
